Advancing the science of healing.

Proven to reduce pain and accelerate healing

For animals experiencing pain or inflammation, Assisi LOOP® products employ a tPEMF signal specifically tuned to stimulate the body’s own natural anti-inflammatory process, lowering pain while speeding healing.

Assisi LOOP products are available without a prescription for animals under veterinary care. They are effectively used in a wide range of conditions, including:

• Post-surgical recovery
• Wound care
• Spinal and nerve disorders
• Internal inflammation
• Osteoarthritis
• Bone, joint, and soft tissue injuries

Assisi LOOP therapy is proven safe and effective

Backed by years of peer-reviewed clinical research

Targeted Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (tPEMF) therapy delivers a micro-current to damaged tissue that is precisely tuned to trigger an animal’s own natural anti-inflammatory process. The electromagnetic signal, which is one-one-thousandth the strength of a cell phone, stimulates cellular repair by upregulating the body’s own production of endogenous nitric oxide (NO).

How to use the Assisi LOOP

Start with two to four 15-minute treatments per day, with a rest time of at least two hours between treatments.

Acute Conditions

  • Continue with 2-4 treatments per day for the first week
  • Taper treatment for the next 7-10 days or until condition is fully healed

Chronic & Degenerative Conditions

  • Continue with 2-4 treatments per day for 2-4 weeks and monitor the animal until you see improved mobility and less pain response
  • Taper treatment down to 1-2 treatments per day or less

We rely on veterinarians to assess the animal and to work with the pet parent on the best treatment protocols for each case.

Frequently Asked Questions

10 CM or 20 CM? While the 10 CM Assisi LOOP is often used when treating small areas of the body such as eyes and paws, the 20 CM Assisi LOOP provides a larger treatment field and is the better choice for treating larger areas of the pet, including hips, heads, and limbs.
Manual or Auto-Cycle? The Manual Assisi LOOP shuts off automatically after each 15-minute treatment, so there’s no need set a timer to remember to turn it off. Alternatively, the Auto-Cycle Assisi LOOP will stay on until turned off, providing treatment for 15-minute intervals every two hours. It will cycle through this treatment protocol until it has been turned off manually or the battery dies. The Assisi LOOP Auto-Cycle offers a minimum of 100 15-minute treatments.
We recommend starting with 2-3 treatments per day, spacing them out at least two hours apart. For acute inflammation, you should see noticeable relief after the first or second treatment. With chronic or degenerative issues, you may not see notable results for 2 to 4 weeks. You will want to continue the treatments as recommended by your veterinarian for continued long-term healing.
Veterinary professionals can download the Assisi LOOP Clinical Use Guide for a more detailed understanding of treatment recommendations. The Guide offers over 40 step-by-step illustrated protocols for applying the Loop to almost 300 inflammatory conditions affecting distinct parts of dogs’ and cats’ anatomy.
The 20 cm (7.5 inch) Assisi Loop® delivers a clinically effective therapeutic signal to damaged tissue that is positioned within the perimeter of a barrel-shaped treatment zone, as illustrated. The effective treatment zone (ETZ) extends 25 cm (10 inches) above and below the plane of the applicator coil (i.e. 50 cm or 20 inches, from end-to-end). The diameter of the ETZ is 25 cm (10 inches) at its widest point around the applicator coil and 20 cm (7.5″) at its ends.

The ETZ for the 10 cm (4 inch) Loop extends 12.5 cm (5 inches) above and below the plane of the applicator coil. The diameter of the zone is also 12.5 cm (5 inches) at its wides point around the applicator coil.

Keeping your pet in your lap or in a contained area can be helpful in ensuring the full treatment is completed.
IMPORTANT: If you plan to use a metal crate for treatment, the metal can diminish the impact of the treatment. While it is not dangerous, it will reduce the dose received. A crate that has a wide wire mesh will not reduce dosing significantly, but a solid metal piece could. Arranging the treatment in the crate so the Loop is on top of the pet, rather than against the crate and pet will reduce any interference. Similarly, using the Loop over a metal implant, in a bed with metal coils, or metal brace will not cause any harm, although it may reduce the dose the pet receives. If possible, position the Loop so that it is 4-5 inches from the metal. You may choose to place a thick pad in the kennel or on the bed to allow for this distance.
No! The Assisi LOOP® is an ideal adjunct therapy, meaning it can be used with other forms of treatment – even the very same day. However, given that the LOOP and other treatment options have different mechanisms of action, we recommend that you allow 2 hours between treatments, so your pet receives the full benefit of each modality.
Out of an abundance of caution, we recommend not using the Assisi LOOP if you or your pet has a pacemaker or other electronic devices.
The Assisi LOOP Manual offers approximately 150 15-minute treatments
The Assisi LOOP Auto-Cycle offers approximately 100 15-minute treatments
The life of the LOOP depends on the battery. You are likely to get more than the minimum number of treatments noted above if you allow the Loop to recharge for 2 hours after every 15-minute treatment. At this time, there is no way to recharge or replace the battery. One Assisi LOOP 2.0 can last anywhere from 3 weeks to 6 months, depending on the condition being treated and the number of treatments required per day.
You can take the LOOP to any store that offers electronics recycling such as Staples or OfficeMax. This will allow for responsible disposal of the lithium batteries as well as the copper wire.
If you believe your LOOP has a factory defect, please call our offices at 866-830-7342.
